"Bad Boys, Bad Boys, Watcha Gonna Do... Watcha Gonna Do When They Come For You.. Bad Boys".. Starring Will Smith (Independance Day), Martin Lawrence and Tea Leoni (The Naked Truth) this superb action comedy is presented to you by Columbia-Tris star pictures. The plot is basic enough, the bad guys break into the police drug holding bay and steal a massive amount of high grade heroin courtesy of inside information supplied to them by an ex-cop. Lawrence and Smith are the two police detectives, who have four days to solve the theft before the FBI and internal affairs close the station down. Téa Leoni who can identify the criminals winds up under the private supervision of Lawrence and Smith and end up in some dangerous situations along the way.

The transfer in one word is excellent. It is letterboxed at about 1.85:1 and comes anamorphically enhanced for viewers with widescreen televisions. There is no Pan & Scan version on this disc. I was simply amazed at the quality of this picture, everything you can think of including detail, colour saturation, contrast and brightness are all spot on. I did not notice any digital artifacts whatsoever and I think this DVD has demo quality written all over it. The audio again is excellent, this is a non-stop action movie from start to finish with the usual myriad of explosions and gun fights which is more than enough to satisfy your most enthusiastic action movie fan. The DVD is presented with the Digital soundtrack which will test your system, exercise your subwoofer and upset your neighbours. The usual accompanying Dolby surronud prologic mix is also quite good with discerning bass and enough action going on in the rear surround speakers to keep you happy.

Again features on this disc are virtually non existent, this movie has been available of DVD for a long time and signs are promising in the future for Columbia-Tristar pictures to include better features. Overall an excellent demo quality action DVD which will keep you entertained for a long time to come, Highly Recommended.
