Roadshow Home Entertainment takes a step back in time on June 13, 2001 with the release of BLAST FROM THE PAST on DVD featuring Brendan Fraser and Alicia Silverstone.

BLAST FROM THE PAST on DVD features Original Widescreen Presentation, Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby 2.0 and English subtitles.

With a number of special features for you to enjoy on DVD, BLAST FROM THE PAST includes a B Roll – On The Set featurette offering exclusive behind the scenes footage.

Only on this DVD, can you view six never-seen-before deleted scenes. BLAST FROM THE PAST also provides extensive cast and crew biographies for Fraser, Silverstone, Sissy Spacek, Christopher Walken, Dave Foley, Hugh Wilson and Bill Kelly. Within the cast biographies, you can play interviews with Foley, Silverstone, Fraser, Walken and Wilson.

This long awaited DVD also features the international and domestic trailers for BLAST FROM THE PAST.

In 1962, in the midst of the Cuban missile crisis, the fear was nuclear war, so mad-cap scientist Calvin Webber (Walken) and his pregnant wife (Spacek) retreated to their home-away-from-home bomb shelter. They had a baby, Adam, and raised him there with good wholesome 60’s values. Now 35 years later and with the all-clear from Dad, Adam (Fraser) is stepping out of the shelter and into the nineties…that’s one small step for Adam, one giant shock for mankind.

Here Adam, the guy who loves Perry Como records and thinks ‘gay’ means chirpy is about to meet a worldly 90’s babe called Eve (Silverstone). With names like that, you’d think it was the beginning of something divine but with his taste in clothes and her taste in music, they’re world’s – and decades – apart!

BLAST FROM THE PAST on DVD is rated M 15+ with a running time of 99 minutes approximately. BLAST FROM THE PAST is also available to rent on DVD and own on video.

In 2001, Roadshow Home Entertainment will continue to deliver fresh and exciting DVD titles including BRING IT ON, THE MAIN EVENT and GET CARTER.
